Photo-first home inventory

Looking for a Vorby alternative?

Both apps help households catalog belongings from photos. Arclyst is worth a look if you want web and Android access, whole-room scanning in beta, and Claim Pack PDF records—with AI suggestions you review before saving.

Start with 55 free items. No credit card and no trial timer.

Compare the workflow, not just the headline.

Vorby may suit you better if purchase-email intake or iPhone voice/search features are priorities. Arclyst focuses on a review-first home record, including room photos and PDF documentation. Neither app removes the need to keep records current.

Start with a room photo

Capture visible belongings, review the beta room-scan suggestions, and save only the records you want to keep.

Keep the evidence together

Attach receipts, serial numbers, photos, and notes to item records. Claim Pack PDFs organize records; they do not guarantee an insurance outcome.

Update when things change

Add new purchases and edit records when you move, replace, sell, or donate items. Arclyst does not silently import purchases or maintain your inventory for you.

AI accuracy, labels, and records: the practical questions.

Can Arclyst scan a whole room?

Whole-room scanning is in beta. A room photo can produce suggestions for visible belongings, not a complete inventory of hidden drawers or cupboards. Review the items and details before saving.

How accurate are AI-generated item details?

AI suggestions can be incomplete or wrong in either workflow. In Arclyst, check names, categories, condition, and estimated values before saving. Check serial numbers against the actual label and add receipts yourself. An estimate is not an appraisal.

Will QR labels leave sticker residue on my belongings?

Arclyst generates printable QR labels; adhesive depends on the paper or label stock you choose. Use a removable label on a storage box or attach a paper tag instead of sticking it on a valuable item. Test any adhesive in an inconspicuous spot and follow the material manufacturer's guidance. Labels are optional.

Will an insurer accept a Claim Pack PDF?

Arclyst's Claim Pack PDF brings item records, photos, and supporting details together. It can help you prepare documentation, but acceptance and required evidence depend on your policy and insurer. Keep original receipts and review the records before sharing.

Which app should I choose for iPhone or Android?

Arclyst is available on web and Android; iPhone and iPad users can use Safari while the iOS app is in development. Vorby advertises web and iPhone apps, including Siri and iPhone Search. Choose the workflow and device support you actually need.

Does Arclyst import purchases automatically from my email?

No. You add photos, receipts, and updates yourself in Arclyst. Vorby's website advertises email receipt parsing. If automatic purchase-email intake is important to you, check Vorby's current features and permissions before deciding.
